In the heart of Sri Lanka, under the warm sun, the Rotaract Club of University Alumni (RAC UniAlumni) recently marked a remarkable achievement—their 10th Installation Ceremony. The prestigious Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (CIPM) served as the backdrop for an event that celebrated a decade of unwavering commitment to service, fellowship, and personal growth. The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the oil lamp, a cherished tradition symbolizing the club’s connection to customs and traditions. Esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Rtn. Kishani Gunasekera and District Rotaract Representative Rtr. PP Sathma Jayasinghe, ignited the lamp, setting the stage for a day filled with reflection and celebration.

Outgoing President Rtr. IPP Sanara Gamage took center stage, delivering a poignant address that reflected on the club’s remarkable journey over the past ten years. With pride and gratitude, she highlighted RAC UniAlumni’s numerous achievements, emphasizing community service projects, professional development initiatives, and the vibrant alumni network nurtured by the club. A pivotal moment unfolded as the incoming president, Rtr. Emalka Gunathilake, was officially inducted into the board. Pledging to uphold the club’s values and continue its legacy of service, Rtr. Emalka outlined the club’s vision for the upcoming year. The audience erupted in applause, expressing their unwavering support for the new leadership.

The presentation of pins and certificates to the incoming board marked the official transfer of responsibility, symbolizing the commencement of a new chapter in RACUALU’s history. The atmosphere was electric, radiating unity and purpose as the new leadership prepared to embark on a journey of service and personal growth. A highlight of the evening was an inspiring keynote speech by Rtn. Kishani Gunasekara, President of the Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan. Their words underscored the transformative power of service, resonating deeply with Rotaractors and reaffirming their commitment to making a positive difference. The event reached new heights with a mesmerizing musical performance by three talented club members.

. The evening concluded with tokens of appreciation handed to the invited guests, and a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the club’s 10th charter day celebration. Incoming secretaries, Rtr. Malithi Fernando and Rtr. Ibraheem Rifthie, expressed gratitude and reiterated the club’s commitment to service, personal growth, and the ideals of fellowship and international understanding. The success of the Installation Ceremony was made possible by the meticulous planning of the Organizing Committee (OC). The timeline outlined the progression of the project, from initial objectives to the final physical run-through at the venue.

The OC’s dedication and systematic approach were evident in the successful execution of the ceremony. As the curtain fell on the 10th Installation Ceremony of the Rotaract Club of University Alumni, a sense of triumph and anticipation lingered.
