“Project Zero” is one of the signature projects of the Professional Development Avenue of Rotaract Club of University Alumni which was initiated last year. This year it was organized again with the contribution of 22 other Rotaract clubs who presented their significant projects to inspire the fellow Rotaractors.

This can be considered as an event where everyone shares their own success stories together with their own flaws in order to help budding Rotaractors to come up with best projects. Carrying out a successful project is not an easy task. It is the outcome of months and days of hard work and commitment. Project Zero provides a platform for the Rotaractors who carried out  projects that made a positive impact on the society to talk about their journey from zero.

The Speakers List representing Project Team Tuskers

This project was held throughout 6 days where 16 projects under 14 project categories were discussed. Details of projects under several Rotary areas of focus such as Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, Economic and Community Development and Peace and Conflict prevention were also shared among everyone. The journey of some projects which won RI awards such as “Gramaprabodhaya”,Zooxanthellae” and “Manusath Handa” organized by the University of Moratuwa were also shared during these sessions. From the planning stage to the end of the projects, all the challenges and how the organizing team overcame them were discussed. Nearly 30 Rotaractors contributed for this as facilitators to share their experiences.

We believe that this will be a stepping stone for the next generation of leadership to get inspired and give out their best to the lives of the others , a living masterpiece.
