The Future Frugal

“Future Frugal”, an awareness on how to handle your finance, has been successfully completed in collaboration with fellow Rotaractors of the International Service Avenue of the Rotaract Club of Deonar, RID 3141 and the Rotaract Club of University Alumni, RID 3220.

Project was focused on educating school and university students on general finance and was conducted under two phases; a series of awareness posts and a webinar.

Eye catching posts with interesting captions and facts were uploaded spreading beneficial facts regarding money management and investments. Going in depths to the topics, posts were created on interesting sub topics such as expense tracking, budgeting and saving, share market, value of money; and as well as timely topics like best investment plans for 2021 and digital currencies.

 It was a great privilege to have an expert and well experienced person in financial planning and mutual fund industry, Mr.Srikant  Gowrishankar as the guest speaker for the webinar on “Personal Finance”. Mr. Gowrishankar humbly shared his experiences and knowledge of more than 15 years of his successful career as a certified financial planner, an associate in mutual fund and as a proprietor of his own venture. The webinar was a major eye opener in terms of realizing the importance of knowing facts related to investments, keeping an emergency fund, methods of improving credits rates, managing household finances and managing expenses as a university student.

The project itself was a great success and all the members wholeheartedly contributed towards it.
